Can I use Visor for free?
Of course! Visor offers a free trial, giving users access to our Visor Team plan for 14 days (no credit card needed). This trial allows you to use premium features like our Gantt and Dashboard views, unlimited workbooks, milestones, and more.
If you choose not to upgrade after this free trial, you will continue to have access to Visor with our free plan, which provides you with Table and Board views, 10k sync credits (see below for more info), and 2 workbooks.
How does Visor's pricing work?
Below is info about Visor's plans in 2025. If you are on a legacy plan from before then, look at the next FAQ.

What if I'm on a legacy plan?
As of December 2024, Visor retired Visor Pro and Visor Ultimate plans. In addition, our free plan has changed.
Legacy Paid Plans - Visor Pro & Visor Ultimate:
If you are on a legacy paid plan (e.g., Visor Pro or Visor Ultimate), you can adjust your license count (e.g. # of paid users on Visor Pro). However, if you cancel your subscription, these plans will no longer be available to you; you will only be able to upgrade to the new paid plans.
Legacy Free Plan
If you are on Visor's legacy free plan, you will remain there. Write to support@visor.us if you'd like to get a 14-day free trial instead. Legacy free workspaces may only be updated to the new paid plans.
If I'm on a paid plan, what adjustments can I make to my plan?
It is easier to make changes to monthly plans due the shorter billing cycle. However, we do allow a couple of changes to annual plans. See below for specific details.

Can I purchase just one license?
Visor's Starter plan allows you to purchase one license for a solo user. You can also try Visor's free Team trial as a solo user (and stay on Visor's more limited free plan afterwards as a solo user).
However, Visor's Team plan requires you to purchase three licenses, as we designed this plan for collaboration.
Do I have to pay for all the users in my Jira/Salesforce/Asana account?
In short, no! You only have to pay for the users who will actively edit (e.g., pull in new records in or make changes to fields) or comment in workbooks.
Visor's Team and Business paid plans allow for unlimited free view-only access.
What is a sync credit?
Depending on the type of plan you're on, sync credits get applied on either a user or workspace level. See more about sync credits here.
- Visor Free plan (after Visor Team plan trial ends):
- 10k shared sync credits / month (per workspace)
- Visor Starter plan:
- 50k shared sync credits / month (per workspace)
- Visor Team plan:
- 100k sync credits / month (per user)
- Visor Business plan:
- 2 million shared sync credits / month (per workspace)
Can I belong to multiple workspaces in Visor?
You can belong to any number of Workspaces in Visor. You can have a personal workspace on our Free plan, a team workspace on a paid plan, and other workspaces on different plans. Please note that any subscription you purchase can only be applied to ONE workspace. Licenses cannot be split between workspaces.
Does Visor offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
We do not offer a standard SLA. For teams with greater than 20 members, we can offer a custom SLA. Contact our customer success team to learn more.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major forms of payment including credit cards. We use Stripe to process our payments so we do not handle your payment information directly.
How secure is Visor?
Visor is incredibly secure. All of your data is stored encrypted on AWS. You can read more about our security practices on our Trust & Security page. We are also just certified by the Atlassian Security Self-Assessment program.
Will I be charged sales tax?
In order to stay compliant with local regulations, Visor will charge sales tax based on the region your company is located in. Sales tax is calculated automatically by Stripe.
Is there an on-premises version of Visor?
We are passionate about the web and do not plan to offer an internally hosted version of Visor.
Does Visor offer a discount for nonprofits?
Visor is happy to offer eligible nonprofits a 15% discount on our plans. Reach out to our Customer Success team to learn about how we can help.
Does Visor offer a student discount?
No, we do not.
How do I cancel my Visor subscription or trial?
In order to cancel your subscription, reach out to our Customer Success team. You will not be charged again after you submit the form indicating your desire to downgrade.
What is your refund policy?
If you've made a mistake signing up for a Visor subscription and have already paid, we will offer a refund if you let us know within 72 hours of your sign up for a monthly plan or 30 days after you sign up for annual billing. Refunds of amounts above $24 will be returned net of our non-refundable credit card processing fees. Customers may only request a refund through this program once. Individuals establishing multiple accounts with different email addresses will still be considered one customer for the context of this policy. The Visor team reserves the right to deny refunds in cases of suspected fraud or abuse. You can expect to see the refund on your credit card statement in 7-10 business days. Contact our Customer Success team to discuss refunds.

Table, Board, Dashboard, Timeline & Gantt Views:
Visor offers different views. All paid plans allow for all views. Our free plan offers only Table and Board.
Milestones
Table, Gantt, and Timeline views allow you to add milestones. Milestones mark important moments and dates in your project plans. Milestones come up as diamonds and are available in paid plans.

Workbook Limits
Visor allows a workspace to have different workbooks. Each workbook can have its own formatting / color coding.
Visor also supports creating multiple views on the same set of data. Creating multiple views allows you to set up different filters on each of them.
The plan limits are applied on the number of workbooks and views you can create.

User Permissions & Roles
We currently support owner, editor, commenter, and viewer roles, depending on which plan you are on. Owners, editors, and commenter roles require paid licenses.
We consider someone to need an editor license if they create their own workbooks, make changes to data in workbooks, or otherwise have access above the "viewer" level.
A commenter is a user who is able to comment on existing workbooks.

Conditional Formatting
Depending on what plan you're on, you can use either Visor's color presets to format your workbooks or exact HEX color codes.
You can also click "Text" and "Background" to access the custom color picker and set any colors you want! Formatting is available on all plans.

Protection and Privacy Settings:
Advanced Field Protection (Protected Fields)
Visor's Team plan allows you to protect 15 fields per workspace. The Business plan allows for unlimited field protection. This ensures no one can alter your data.

Private Workbooks
Some paid plans offer the ability to limit who can see certain workbooks -- even if they are in the same workspace.
Audit Trails / Workbook History
Our paid plans offer the ability to see your workbook change history.

Printing / Exporting / Embedding
All of Visor's plans (including free) allow you to export your views into a PDF, PNG, or CSV file so you can share them with the world.
However, only the paid plans allow you to export your entire Gantt or Timeline chart into a PDF.
In addition, the Visor Team and Business plans offer the ability to externally embed your workbooks.

Number of Connections vs. Number of Integrations
Your plan includes a certain number of integrations per workspace, which counts the number of apps you can connect at once.
Additionally, your plan includes several connections you can establish via those integrations per workbook.
