Overview
Visor offers various plans to choose from, each with its own benefits for teams of different sizes.
In this article, we’ll take a look at some ways to manage and update your plan.
How to update payment & billing info or view invoice history
If you’re on a paid Visor plan, you (or someone else in your organization) already provided us with payment info in order to submit monthly or annual payments for Visor’s premium features.
Steps to update payment information:
- In the top-right corner, open the avatar menu and click on the Settings menu item
- In the left-hand menu, click on Plan & Usage
- Scroll down to Account Management
- Click on the link to View & manage subscription information to open our payment processing system (Stripe)
- Enter the email address linked with the payment information to receive a login code
- Enter the login code which was sent to that email address
After logging into the payment portal, you’ll be able to update your payment method, billing information, and view your invoice history.
Self-Service: How to update subscription or number of seats
All of the paid plans total prices are based on the number of seats you need working in these workbooks EXCEPT for our Business plan, which offers a flat-rate fee for 100 users.
The Visor Starter and Team plans' pricing is based on how many Viewers, Owners, Editors, and/or Commenters you need.
How to update the # of seats in workspace:
To increase the # of seats:
1. Workspace members and admins can both hit the "upgrade" button.
2. Users can then purchase additional licenses, as needed.
To decrease the # of seats:
Note: You must be an admin to downgrade the # of seats in your license.
1. Admins can go to the Settings' billing area and hit the "Modify plan" button.
2. From there, admins will go to Stripe where they can make advanced changes to their plan, such as decreasing the # of seats.
How to Update Subscription Cadence:
Visor's paid subscriptions offer monthly and annual options. If you are an admin, you can update your workspace's plan from a monthly to an annual (or vice versa).
How admins can change plan to a monthly or annual:
1. Admins can go to the Settings' billing area and hit the "Modify plan" button.
2. From there, admins will go to Stripe where they can make advanced changes to their plan, such as changing from a monthly to an annual (or the other way around).
How to Upgrade or downgrade plan:
As of December 2024, we retired our (now) legacy Visor Pro and Visor Ultimate paid plans. You cannot upgrade (or downgrade) workspaces to these legacy plans. Also, if you are on a legacy plan and stop subscribing, our new plans will only be available to you moving forward.
Current Visor plans:
To upgrade your plan:
1a. Workspace members and admins can both hit the "upgrade" button.
1b. Alternatively, members and admins can go to the settings' billing area and press "Select plan" for the upgraded plan. Plans that are lower than your current plan (and your current plan) will be unavailable as an option.)
2. Users can then choose a higher-level plan (e.g., Starter plan --> Team plan)
To downgrade your plan:
Note: You must be an admin to downgrade your plan.

2. From there, admins will go to Stripe where they can make advanced changes to their plan, such as decreasing the # of seats.
If Self-Service is not available to you
If you can't modify your subscription on your own, you can take the following steps:
- In the top-right corner, open the avatar menu and click on the Settings menu item
- In the left-hand menu, click on Plan & Usage
- Scroll down to Account Management
- Click on the link to Chat with a Visor team member
This will open up the chat window, where a Visor team member can assist you in updating your subscription.
