Overview
Integrations are the biggest value-driving feature that distinguishes Visor from the competition. They help you streamline your workflows, centralize all your data, and allow you to quickly execute with minimal friction. Let’s take a look at managing your integrations like a pro.
Adding integrations
There are several ways to integrate Visor with your external apps:
During the onboarding process
If you’ve just created a new workbook, you’ll run through the onboarding flow to get your workbook in a usable state as quickly as possible. During this flow, you’ll be prompted to integrate with Jira (or connect to it if already integrated).
Clicking on Continue to Jira and follow the prompt to integrate Visor with Jira. If you need to switch which Jira account is connected to your Visor workspace, learn how to do that here.
While adding a new connection
If you created a new workbook and decided to forego integrating during that flow, you can always integrate afterward by setting up a new connection from the Connections menu. Click on the app you’d like to connect with, and if no prior integration was established, you’ll be prompted to integrate it at that point.
Click on Continue to Salesforce and follow the prompt to integrate Visor with Salesforce. The same is true for all supported integrations.
While adding a new field
If you are looking to add a new field, one of the field types you can add is a Connection field.
Clicking on Add a new connection will open the Connections menu. Click on the app you’d like to connect with, and if no prior integration was established, you’ll be prompted to integrate it at that point.
Deactivating existing integrations
You may find the need to deactivate an existing integration. This usually happens when the integration was originally set up through an account that is no longer active, or you no longer wish to use data from the specific app instance.
To deactivate an integration from Visor, you’ll need to revoke the integration directly from within the external app:
Disconnecting from Jira
In the upper-right corner, open the avatar menu and click on Manage account. Then, in the left-side menu, click on Connected apps.
Once there, you’ll see a section for Apps with access to your accounts. Find the Visor Connector, and click on Remove access.
That’s it! Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’ll have disconnected Jira from Visor.
Disconnecting from HubSpot
In the upper-right corner, open the settings menu (gear icon). Then, in the left-side menu, click on Integrations > Connected apps.
Once there, you’ll see a tile for Visor. Open the Actions dropdown and click on Uninstall.
That’s it! Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’ll have disconnected HubSpot from Visor.
Disconnecting from Salesforce
In the upper-right corner, open the avatar menu and click on Settings. Then, in the left-side menu, click on Connections.
Once there, you’ll see a row for RocketVisorUpdateConnector. Click on Revoke.
That’s it! Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’ll have disconnected Salesforce from Visor.
